Job summary

International Paper is seeking a Production Relief Supervisor at the Mount Vernon, OH facility. The role oversees daily corrugated board production across three shifts, emphasizing safety, quality, and teamwork.

You will train staff, manage performance, and coordinate with management and external partners. The position requires 1–2 years of supervisory experience and a background in corrugated packaging, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• One to two years of supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Prior experience in the corrugated packaging industry required.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Must be willing to work all three shifts and some weekends as needed to cover vacations and absences.

Responsibilities

• Supervise employees in the daily production of corrugated board, including training, planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluate performance; reward and discipline.
• Lead and motivate employees by example, ensuring safety and quality production.
• Effectively communicate operational information at all levels (crews, supervisors, management, office staff, customers, vendors).
• Promote and ensure compliance with safety, quality and other programs and initiatives.
• Provide training on safety, machine setup, QMS, machine operation, PIT; complete related documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
