Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using micrometers and calipers.
• Machine parts to specifications using 3-axis machines.
• Set up and operate basic or specialized machine tools.
• Align and secure fixtures, tools, and materials on machines.
• Measure and inspect parts to confirm conformance with specs.
• Monitor machine speeds and feeds during operation.
• Maintain and troubleshoot machine tools.
• Study drawings to determine product conformance.
• Verify operational efficiency of equipment.
• Diagnose tool malfunctions and arrange repairs.
• Coordinate with engineering or inspection staff on specs.
• Assemble fixtures and cutters as required.
• Dispose of scrap per company policy and regulations.
• Evaluate procedures and suggest improvements per Kaizen.
