Responsibilities

• Calculate dimensions or tolerances using micrometers and calipers.
• Machine parts to specifications using 3 axis machines.
• Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools.
• Align and secure fixtures and cutting tools per setup documentation.
• Measure and inspect parts to ensure conformance with customer specs.
• Monitor feed and speed of machines during machining.
• Maintain machine tools in good condition.
• Study blueprints and engineering data to determine conformance.
• Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency.
• Diagnose machine tool malfunctions and determine repairs.
• Coordinate with engineering/supervision to verify technical info.
• Fit and assemble fixtures and cutters for customer products.
• Dispose of scrap materials per policy and regs.
• Evaluate procedures and Kaizen-based improvements.
