A&K Railroad Materials Inc in Kansas City, KS is looking for a CNC Machinist II to join our hands-on manufacturing team. You will set up and operate 3- and 5-axis CNC machines, read blueprints, and help turn raw materials into precision rail components.

Qualifications

• Prior CNC machining experience.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and G-code.
• Ability to use basic precision measuring tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines to manufacture precision rail components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, work orders, and machine specifications.
• Perform measurements and inspections using calipers, tape measures, and other measuring tools.
• Make machine adjustments and troubleshoot machining issues to maintain quality and production.
• Use manual tools and equipment as needed to support manufacturing operations.
• Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures while maintaining an organized work area.
