Job summary

Safco, located in Milford, IA, is hiring a Welder II to join our 2nd shift welding team. You will set up and perform welding operations essential to production, while upholding safety, quality, and productivity standards.

This full-time role offers $23.50 per hour plus $3.00 shift differential. Benefits include health/dental/vision, paid time off, 401(k) with company match, and profit sharing. Overtime Fridays may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• 3+ years of weld experience
• Proven experience reading blueprints and using inspection equipment/measuring devices
• Ability to understand basic mechanical and manufacturing techniques.
• Previous experience with computer skills such as typing, printing and data entry.
• Ability to use math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Setup and perform welding per blueprint including (spot welding, robotic welder and MIG welding)
• Finish product to meet workmanship standards (grinding and sanding)
• Enter work order data required for labor reporting into the computer system
• Use inspection equipment and review blueprints to ensure work is meeting or exceeding quality standards
• Maintaining a clean workstation and production floor.
• Work in a manner that emphasizes safety of self and others. Follows all health and safety policies and guidelines
• Other duties as assigned
