Job summary

Berner International in New Castle, PA is seeking a Welder – 2nd Shift to join a family-owned manufacturing team. This full-time, non-exempt position runs 2:00pm–10:00pm with $1 shift differential and opportunities to perform fabrication and press brake tasks alongside welding duties.

You will read blueprints and setup and operate CNC laser punch press, bend, punch, mill, and weld to quality standards, maintain the workspace, and coordinate with fabrication and welding departments.

Qualifications

• Strong CNC laser and punch press experience.
• Ability to read protractor, micrometer and calipers.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of production procedures.
• Knowledge of fabricating equipment and measuring tools.
• Knowledge of various metal gauges.
• Knowledge of welding and welding processes.
• MIG welding preferred.
• Must be able to use a tape measure.
• Must be able to read and interpret visual and written production procedures.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Process parts work orders.
• Complete fabrication and welding operations in a timely fashion so that the final product meets ship date.
• Responsible for bending, punching, milling, rolling and machinery set up.
• Operate CNC laser punch press.
• Perform some machine repair.
• Responsible for welding parts that meet acceptable quality.
• Maintain work area.
• Coordinate jobs between fabrication and welding departments.
• Assist other departments as needed.
