Job summary

Paycom in Harvey, IL is seeking an experienced welder for our 2nd shift to produce quality welds that meet customer specifications. You will work from drawings, use GMAW, FCAW and SAW welding processes, and maintain weld integrity daily.

You will operate simple fabrication tools, inspect welds, follow PQR/WPS, and participate in safety programs. Lifting up to 60 lbs and occasional travel may be required; overtime could occur to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Experience with GMAW, FCAW and/or SAW welding processes; able to weld in flat, horizontal and vertical positions.
• Able to interpret process instructions, PQR/WPS and other verbal/visual instructions.
• Physical ability to lift 60 lbs and pass an eye test (Jaeger 12).
• Willingness to participate in mandatory training and continuous improvement.
• Adherence to shop rules and safety regulations; overtime and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Welds per drawings and specifications using GMAW, FCAW or SAW.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment; keep work area clean.
• Monitor weld quality and adjust as needed to meet standards.
• Collaborate with Production Support staff and Weld Engineering to resolve weld issues.
• Follow process work instructions and safety regulations.
• Overtime and travel may be required.
