Total Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Fabrication Welder II for a Monday–Friday 3:45 PM–12:15 AM shift in Carol Stream, IL. Pay rate is $24.00–$26.00/hr with overtime $36.00–$39.00/hr, paid weekly, and 80% fabrication with 20% welding.

Role focuses on welding machine frames and components, with progression opportunities into leadership. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of fabrication experience, MIG welding skills, and the ability to read engineering blueprints,

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of fabrication experience working with a variety of metals.
• MIG welding experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and drawings.
• Experience operating fabrication equipment such as saws, shears, drill presses, forklifts, and overhead cranes is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding and fabrication of machine frames and components using materials ranging from light-gauge sheet metal to heavy-gauge tubing, flat bar, and I-beams.
• Fabricate industrial ovens, safety guarding, vacuum tanks, swing doors, fan brackets, catwalks, and other machine components.
• Grind, finish, and inspect completed products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Conduct quality checks on fabricated components and assemblies.
• Install finished components into machine structures.
• Assist with machine tear-down and preparation for painting and shipping.
• Safely operate material handling equipment, including sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Welder II to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a skilled fabricator/welder who is looking to further develop their career with opportunities for advancement into leadership positions. The primary responsibilities include fabricating and welding structural steel machine frames and components, as well as preparing completed machinery for painting and shipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, quality-focused, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding and fabrication of machine frames and components using materials ranging from light-gauge sheet metal to heavy-gauge tubing, flat bar, and I-beams.
• Fabricate industrial ovens, safety guarding, vacuum tanks, swing doors, fan brackets, catwalks, and other machine components.
