Shambaugh & Son L.P. in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a 2nd Shift Welder for our Fire Fabrication shop. You will use a universal welder to cut and weld steel pipe according to blueprints and project specifications.

The role requires 4+ years of welding experience, the ability to read a tape measure, and a dependable work ethic. Weekend availability may be required; attention to detail and safety are paramount.

Formación

• 4+ years welding experience.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Pipe welding certificates are a plus.
• Dependable with good attendance and strong work ethic.
• Clear written and verbal communication.

Responsabilidades

• Read blueprints and drawings.
• Take measurements to plan layouts.
• Set up welding machine according to specs.
• Weld components using semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
• Maintain equipment in a safe condition.
• Test all welds for quality.
• Weld by hand to seal leaks as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
