Job summary

QPS Employment Group seeks an experienced Welder for its North Kansas City, MO location on the 2nd shift. This role emphasizes MIG welding on stainless steel and galvanized parts, with a required weld test and opportunities to learn new fabrication techniques.

You will work 1:30pm-12:00am, Monday–Thursday, with a pay rate of $20.00-$22.00 per hour based on experience, and room to grow through cross-training and safety-focused practices.

Qualifications

• Prior MIG welding experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
• Familiarity with welding safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Apply welding process to materials and repair welds per specifications.
• Cross-train on other departments and work as a team member.
• Perform safety checks and preventative maintenance on welding equipment and finished products.
• Weld various metals such as stainless steel and galvanized.
• Read and understand tape measures, gauges, work orders, charts, and safety regulations.
• Knowledge of welding processes (Fuel Gas, Gas Metal Arc, Gas Tungsten Arc).
