Monroechamber is seeking a Welder for the North Kansas City, MO area on 2nd shift (1:30pm-12:00am, Monday-Thursday). The role requires MIG welding experience and a weld test during the hiring process.

Candidates should be able to read blueprints, use gauges and tapes, and work well in a team while maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and proficiency with welding processes including Fuel Gas, GMAW, and GTAW.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write and communicate effectively.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Proficient with multiple welding processes (MIG, Gas Metal Arc, Gas Tungsten Arc).
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Apply welding processes to materials and repair welds per specifications.
• Collaborate with team and cross-train on other departments.
• Perform safety checks and maintenance on welding equipment.
• Weld stainless steel and galvanized metals; read tapes, gauges, work orders.
