Job summary

Astec, Inc. is seeking a Welder for 2nd shift at Jerome Ave to safely erect and assemble asphalt plant equipment. You will weld metal parts using GMAW/FCAW and read weld symbols to ensure accurate joints, while following PPE requirements and shop safety rules.

The role may require overtime, including weekends, to meet production needs. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and proven welding skills, with the ability to operate cranes and forklifts as needed and pass a

Qualifications

• Welds using GMAW and FCAW processes with safety as priority.
• Reads weld symbols on drawings to ensure correct joints.
• Operates cranes and forklifts safely as required.
• Must pass a welding skills test.

Responsibilities

• Welds and fits metal parts to assemble asphalt plant equipment.
• Sets machine parameters and ensures proper welding quality.
• Adheres to PPE requirements and safety rules at all times.
