Job summary

D.L. George & Sons in Waynesboro is seeking Welders & Fabricators to join their team on the 2nd Shift. Candidates need to have at least 1 year of MIG welding experience and be able to operate in a fabrication environment for up to 10 hours a day. The role includes following instructions, maintaining a safe work area, and carrying out inspections of their own work.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience with MIG welding carbon steel required.
• Must be certified to AWS or ASME codes.
• Ability to operate in a machine/fabrication shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow directions and instructions of supervisory personnel.
• Start up, set up and prepare for welding operations.
• Perform operator level maintenance as needed.
• Inspect pieces for proper specifications and completeness.
• Keep work area clean, organized and clear.
