KMC Stampings is seeking a 2nd Shift Weld Equipment Set Up Technician in Port Washington, WI. You will set up, operate, and tear down weld equipment including robotic welders to KMC standards, and mentor Weld Equipment Operators.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of welding equipment setup experience; you will record data in the ERP system, perform basic material handling, and support continuous improvement with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and two years of weld equipment setup experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, specifications, and memos.
• Ability to interpret part prints.
• Ability to measure manufactured parts with metrology equipment.

Responsabilités

• Set up, operate and tear-down weld equipment, including robotic welders, to KMC standards.
• Evaluate production runs and submit changes as needed.
• Record labor, inventory, tooling and production data in ERP system.
• Perform basic material handling with carts and pallet jacks.
• Maintain equipment with weekly preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot setups and production runs and modify as needed.
• Change and replace consumables and rework electrodes.
• Monitor stocks of robotic weld supplies and coordinate reorders.
• Train Weld Equipment Setup Operators and Weld Equipment Operators.
