Job summary

Fessenden Hall, a long‑standing building materials distributor, seeks a Night Shift Warehouse Worker in Lancaster, PA. Main duties include selecting, loading, and securing orders for next-day delivery, unloading incoming material, and assisting will-call customers.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, forklift certification or willingness to train, and the ability to lift 70 pounds and work evenings Monday through Friday.

Reports To: Warehouse Manager | Location: On-site in Lancaster, PA

Hourly Pay Range: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour, plus the benefits described below

Position Overview

Warehouse Worker – Night Shift: You'll play a critical role in Fessenden Hall's night shift operations at our Lancaster, PA location - Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM - safely and accurately selecting, pulling, loading, and securing customer orders for next-day delivery, unloading incoming material, and assisting will-call customers.

What You'll Do

Core Responsibilities:

• Safely and accurately select and hand-pull customer orders by working off of shipping manifests
• Safely and accurately load and secure customer orders for next-day delivery using a sit-down forklift
• Unload material from trailers and stock it in designated areas
• Assist will-call customers by retrieving orders and loading their vehicles in a safe, timely, and efficient manner
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Understand and follow company policies and procedures

Day-to-Day Activities:

• Become experienced and knowledgeable of company products
• Manage paperwork and reports, as required
• Participate in company-mandated training

• Customer orders selected, loaded, and secured for on-time next-day delivery
• Order selection accuracy against shipping manifests
• Load accuracy and securement

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Warehouse, distribution, or building materials experience is a plus

Essential Skills:

• Reliable, responsible self-starter who is eager to learn and works well independently and as part of a team
• Basic math skills and strong attention to detail
• Strong customer service and communication skills, with experience working effectively with a wide range of people
• Ability to handle multiple work assignments simultaneously

Requirements:

• On-site position at our Lancaster, PA location; available for night shift work (Monday – Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM) and overtime on short notice
• Forklift driver's license, or ability to be trained and certified
• Must be able to lift 70 pounds, stand or walk for long periods of time, and work in varying weather conditions
• Alert and focused, with knowledge of workplace safety standards

Exceptional Medical Coverage

Fessenden Hall covers 80% of your premium. An employer-funded HRA reimburses your full deductible each year, up to $4,000 individual or $8,000 family. Your effective deductible is $0. Out-of-pocket max is $6,550; above that, insurance pays 100%.

Fully employer-paid coverage. Dental, vision, life, AD&D (1x salary to $50,000), short-term disability, and long-term disability (60% income replacement to age 65). Premiums are covered at 100%.
