Job summary

The Carlstar Group in McDonough, GA is seeking a 2nd shift Warehouse Supervisor I to oversee inventory and staff in the warehouse.

The role coordinates a team that receives, stores, and distributes materials, equipment, and supplies, and leads safety and process improvements. Candidates should have 3+ years in warehousing and leadership; HS diploma or higher preferred; shift from 4pm to 12:30 AM.

Qualifications

• Lead and supervise warehouse staff.
• Coordinate hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure accurate inventory control and accuracy reports.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DC Manager with hiring and training of new employees.
• Schedules and oversees shipping, inventory, auditors, and maintenance staff.
• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
• Schedules, manages, and invoices maintenance repairs in the building.
• Completes specified reports at the assigned frequency.
• Manages physical inventory, compares results to computerized inventory, and reconciles any differences.
• Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase the efficiency of warehouse practices.
• Monitors expenditures; implements corrective actions if needed.
• Enforces operating instructions and safety policies.
• Purchases supplies for the site when needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
