Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for its Minooka, IL operation in the Supply Chain Solutions division. This exempt, salaried position offers a secondary shift with Tue-Sat 1:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

You will lead a shift, ensure safe and efficient operations, and drive continuous improvement while meeting customer expectations. Responsibilities include planning logistics processes with the Logistics Manager, supervising staff, coaching, and evaluating performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 0–1 year of direct supervisory/leadership experience is required.
• 1 year or more in transportation, warehouse or distribution environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and oversee day-to-day logistics operations.
• Plan and review with the Logistics Manager to meet company standards and customer specs.
• Establish work schedules and procedures and coordinate activities of workers for optimum shift performance.
• Accountable for site KPI.
• Collaborate with customer in all aspects of operations.
• Meet regularly with team members to monitor progress, coach and recognize successes.
• Promote diversity and inclusion and improve internal processes.
• Conduct performance evaluations and recommend rewards or merit increases when appropriate.
• Address performance problems through corrective action and disciplinary steps.
• Implement health & safety and security initiatives and ensure policy adherence.
• Provide orientation for employees and Lead Hands and supply necessary resources.
