Job summary

Ryder in Chicago, IL is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead day-to-day logistics operations for our Supply Chain Solutions division. This full-time position pays $68,000 annually and typically follows a Tuesday–Saturday 3pm–12am schedule.

As a supervisor, you will coach teams, ensure safety, and drive continuous improvement to meet customer expectations and KPIs across the operation.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma/GED, Required
• 0 to 1 year in direct supervisory/leadership experience, Required
• 1 year or more in experience in transportation, warehouse or distribution environment., Preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and oversee day to day logistics operations.
• Plan and review, in collaboration with the Logistics Manager, all logistics processes, ensuring that they meet the company standards and customer service specifications
• Establish work schedules and procedures and coordinate activities of the workers to ensure optimal shift/team logistics
• Accountable for site KPI
• Working in collaboration with customer in all aspect of operations
• Meet regularly with team members to monitor progress towards meeting objectives, coach and counsel
• Address performance problems through corrective action and disciplinary process
• Provide orientation for employees and Lead Hands and provide necessary information and materials
