Job summary

Carnegie Mellon University is seeking a Receiver for the 2nd shift (3:00pm – 11:00pm, Monday–Friday). The role involves receiving, storing, selecting, distributing, inspecting, and reconciling packages, and preparing shipments for carrier pickup.

Qualifications

• Evidence of ability to read and comprehend basic instructions and to follow related tasks.
• Ability to read packing lists, addresses, purchase orders, numbers.
• Ability to operate pallet jack, dollies, forklift, and other storeroom equipment.
• Combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Complete data entry into a computer or logs, maintain accurate records, take orders from customers by phone, fax, and email, and label inventory items for destination.
• Assist with organization and storage of university property and prepare items for delivery.
• Load, secure, and unload vehicles.
• Assist with physical counts of warehouse material.
