Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead the 2nd shift at our Michigan distribution center. You will plan daily shipping and receiving activities, assign tasks, and ensure productivity meets departmental goals.

You will coach and develop team members, build relationships with union representatives where applicable, and drive continuous improvements while adhering to company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management preferred.
• 3+ years of leadership and/or warehouse management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Conflict resolution and performance management experience.
• Ability to build relationships with team members and union representatives where applicable.

• Interviews, trains, develops and maintains staffing levels to meet daily operational goals.
• Identifies high potential team members for development and succession planning.
• Fosters positive relationships with team members and union reps to promote retention.
