Job summary

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc. in Avon, IN is seeking a 2nd Shift Operations Supervisor (Onsite) to lead hourly associates across receiving, packaging, stores and shipping.

You will provide shift oversight, allocate resources to meet daily requirements, coordinate multiple processes, and serve as the main point of contact for labor and management issues. Collaborate with EHS and Maintenance, enforce work rules, maintain attendance records, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of supervisory experience preferred; or 4–6 years of warehouse operations experience in lieu of a degree.
• Strong supervision and communication skills, with the ability to lead and develop teams effectively.
• Working knowledge of warehouse and distribution operations, including material movement and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hourly associates and distribution operations across all functional areas.
• Provide operational oversight for the entire shift, ensuring resource allocation to meet daily requirements.
• Coordinate multiple processes across all functional areas using a systematic approach.
• Serve as the shift focal point, handling disciplinary actions within the team.
• Partner with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Maintenance personnel to resolve issues.
• Plan and direct workforce activities in Receiving, Packaging, Stores, and Shipping.
• Adjust priorities based on changing conditions to ensure productivity and efficiency.
