Job summary

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc. in Avon, IN is hiring a Materials Handling Associate for the 2nd shift (3PM–11:30PM EST). You will support warehouse operations including inventory control, order fulfillment, and equipment handling to ensure accurate, timely shipments.

The role requires strong teamwork, safety focus, and adaptability to cover different areas of the warehouse. A valid forklift license and comfort with RF devices are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong teamwork, communication (written and verbal), and critical thinking skills.
• Safety-focused, detail-oriented, and results-driven with the ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with warehouse policies and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to manage high-volume inventory and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
• Comfortable using technology (RF devices, handheld and flatscreen computers, etc.).
• Experience with Sit Down, Stand Up, Reach, Order Selector, and other required equipment—or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Achieve productivity requirements while maintaining accuracy and quality by solving problems and collaborating.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

JOIN OUR TEAM AS A MATERIALS HANDLING ASSOCIATE

Shift: 2nd Shift - 3PM - 11:30PM EST

What You’ll Do:

• Customer Care: Deliver results and provide an optimal customer experience.
• Maintain Quality & Safety: Identify non-conformities, keep the warehouse clean and organized, adhere to 5S principles, and follow all safety procedures.
• Support Team Objectives: Maintain flexibility to support shifting production needs, including helping in different areas of the warehouse when required to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Operate Equipment: Safely operate forklifts and other machinery; maintain a valid Forklift Operator’s license; change batteries and propane tanks as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• Lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive movements for extended periods.

• Comfortable working at heights up to 30 feet and rotating through multiple work areas.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
