Job summary

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc. seeks a results-driven Operations Supervisor for the 2nd shift at our Avon, Indiana facility. You will oversee hourly associates, coordinate receiving, packing, stores and shipping, and ensure daily operations meet safety and quality standards.

This onsite role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and a focus on process improvement, inventory control, and cross-functional collaboration with EHS and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management, Engineering, Technology, Supervision, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years supervisory experience, or 4–6 years warehouse operations experience in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hourly associates and distribution operations across receiving, packaging, stores and shipping.
• Ensure resource allocation meets daily business needs with efficiency and quality.
• Coordinate multiple processes across functional areas with a systematic approach.
• Serve as shift focal point, communicating and administering disciplinary actions.
• Collaborate with EHS and Maintenance to resolve issues.
• Plan and direct workforce activities across Receiving, Packaging, Stores, and Shipping.
• Adjust priorities as conditions change to optimize productivity.
• Direct personnel while communicating labor and management matters.
• Maintain attendance and overtime records and enforce work rules.
