Job summary

Viking Electric in Milwaukee is seeking a 2nd Shift Warehouse Material Handler to join our team. You’ll move goods from the warehouse to our trucks, loading and unloading with safety and accuracy, in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This full-time role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, basic math, and the willingness to learn forklift and handheld scanner operations. Competitive hourly pay with a shift differential, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to grow within the Sonepar family.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Lift up to 50 lbs regularly (75 lbs with assistance).
• Ability to stand and walk for most of your shift.
• Basic math skills (add/subtract).
• Willingness to learn forklift/handheld scanner; training provided.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks using forklift and related equipment; training provided.
• Count, check and record incoming/outgoing items.
• Scan barcodes and labels with handheld device to track inventory.
• Assemble, package, label, stack, palletize and route material for safe delivery or storage.
• Help keep products damage-free and organized.
• Follow warehouse safety procedures.
