Job summary

RTX in Plano, TX is seeking an off-shift (2nd Shift) Value Stream Manager to coordinate and drive execution of 2nd (and sometimes 3rd) shift operations. You will guide product flow through fabrication, turning, coating, and assembly teams while aligning with safety and quality standards.

The role requires leading a multi-shift team, developing schedules, monitoring budgets, and delivering on-time results in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience with at least 2 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Ability to lead multi-shift production teams to meet deadlines safely.
• Proficiency with production management software and ERP systems.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent organization and multi-project management skills.
• Knowledge of quality control standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor production schedules, allocate labor across shifts, manage inventories, and assign tasks to meet deadlines and customer needs.
• Establish and enforce quality standards, ensure reliable materials and equipment, and oversee health and safety protocols for a secure workplace.
• Manage operational budgets, control production costs, minimize waste, and implement strategies to enhance efficiency.
• Supervise the manufacturing process, resolve production issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Analyze production data, identify improvement opportunities, and prepare performance and cost reports for management.
