MacLean-Fogg in Savanna, IL is seeking a Tool Room Machinist. This role involves interpreting blueprints, operating lathes, milling machines, and grinders to fabricate, assemble, and repair parts to specified tolerances.

You will set up, test, and maintain equipment, ensuring safe, efficient production and quality standards. The position is hourly, full-time, on 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:30pm-11:00pm) with a $2.00/hour shift premium.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings is expected.
• Ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion.
• Strong attention to detail and quality assurance standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate lathes, milling machines and grinders to fabricate, assemble, and repair parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering specs to ensure dimensions and tolerances.
• Set up, maintain, and service equipment for safe operation.
• Report machinery or part issues to supervision for resolution.
• Follow safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.
• Assist in training less experienced team members.
