Job summary

RTP Company in South Boston, VA, is seeking an operator to set up and run thermoplastic extrusion equipment on 2nd shift (3pm–11pm). The role involves blending, packaging, and transporting materials while following ISO and safety standards.

You must be able to lift 60 lbs, read manuals, and work overtime as needed. This is a full-time, hourly position with benefits and a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for an 8-hour shift.
• Read and follow manuals and procedures.
• Possess a positive attitude and good attendance.
• Willing to work overtime, including every other weekend.
• Read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start, and operate machinery to mix, extrude, discharge, or handle materials according to procedures.
• Weigh ingredients and feed into machinery as required.
• Monitor production and equipment for safe, efficient operation.
• Troubleshoot equipment and processing issues as needed.
• Document work completed and maintain data integrity.
