Qualifications

• At least 2 years of mechanical and electrical skills with shop and testing equipment.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and specs.
• Hands-on experience in a gas turbine environment focusing on electrical systems, instrumentation and controls.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate basic computer tools.
• Excellent English communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform dynamic testing and troubleshooting of gas turbines during engine tests, ensuring all systems are functioning correctly.
• Setup and use computerized data acquisition systems; interpret test data to determine if engines meet acceptance criteria.
• Adjust engine controls, such as mapping for emissions, and test equipment as needed to achieve test objectives.
• Operate and maintain test cell auxiliary systems, including load banks, gas compressors, and emission monitoring systems.
• Accurately complete and maintain test logs, forms, and documentation related to testing activities.
• Assist with the installation and removal of gas turbines and related test equipment.
• Collaborate with staff to troubleshoot test cell systems, electrical controls, and instrumentation issues.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of test facilities and equipment.
• Actively promote and participate in all safety and lean initiatives within the facility.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Test Technicians.
• Work independently while contributing effectively to the success of the test cell team.
