Job summary

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is actively seeking a Team Lead - 2nd Shift to supervise and coordinate production activities on the shop floor. The role requires allocating staff, addressing bottlenecks, and modeling frontline leadership behaviors to ensure safe and efficient operation.

The Team Lead I will train employees, communicate department objectives, conduct start-of-shift meetings, and support the supervisor in achieving safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Residence within 50 miles of South Milwaukee, WI.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and MS Office products.
• Proficiency in SAP ECC/MRP planning and/or purchasing modules.
• Minimum 1 year experience working with Engineering to Order (ETO).
• Lean Six Sigma tool knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate production work on the shop floor for the designated department.
• Allocate employees to designated work centers, identify bottlenecks and resolve them.
• Train employees in Safety, PPE, Production and Process awareness.
• Communicate and implement department objectives, priorities, and standards to hourly workforce.
• Conduct Start of shift Meetings and address Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost or takt time concerns.
• Field questions from hourly workforce and adjust resources as needed.
• Coordinate area work activities with the supervisor and keep them informed of issues.
• Be knowledgeable in setup, adjustment and operation of all departmental equipment; fill in when needed.
• Check material availability and expedite shortages with production control.
• Identify training needs and address them through coaching and onboarding employees.
• Operate forklift as needed.
