Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Supply Chain Team Lead for the 2nd shift in Hodges, South Carolina. You will assist the Section Manager in leading team members, coordinating workflow, and overseeing day-to-day operations in a Caterpillar warehouse environment.

The role requires leadership experience in manufacturing or logistics, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with MS Office. Expect overtime and a compensation package reflecting the responsibilities and shift premium.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of supply chain operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in mathematical and analytical skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.
• Good attendance record and ability to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with logistics and carriers to set up expedited shipments.
• Interface with customers and relay voice of customer to logistics team.
• Lead meetings with multifunctional teams to track performance and drive results.
• Oversee management of zones, targeting aged inventory and root-cause investigations.
• Lead problem-solving events to drive continuous improvement.
• Track quality metrics and meet safety, quality, velocity and cost goals.
• Lead investigations on customer-reported defects.
• Perform material handling and warehousing functions as required.
