Job summary

Tyson Foods in Alabama is seeking a Stacker for the 2nd shift to efficiently retrieve pallets, stack cases by product code, verify dates, and assemble boxes. The role requires attention to accuracy in counts and dates, plus supporting material stocking on the production floor.

Candidate must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 100 lbs, with rotating duties as assigned by the supervisor and adherence to safety, GMP, SQF, and food safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to flex/grip with wrists/hands.
• Walking, bending, squatting, standing and repetitive lifting of up to 40 - 100 lbs. every 30 to 60 seconds.
• Basic math functions (adding, subtracting, multiplying) with a calculator.

Responsibilities

• Retrieving a pallet from the stack and stacking cases on pallets by product code.
• Verify dates on cases and assemble boxes.
• Maintain accurate case counts and assist the Palletizer to stock packing materials on the production floor.

SUMMARY: The Stacker is responsible for retrieving a pallet from the stack, stacking cases on pallets according to the product code, verifying dates on cases and assembling boxes. This position is responsible for the following but not limited to: Stacking product properly and maintaining accurate case counts Assist Palletizer in keeping all packing material needed for production stocked on production floor Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements Must perform all positions of rotation, if applicable

Requirements:

• Ability to flex/grip with wrists/hands
• Walking, bending, squatting, standing and repetitive lifting of up to 40 - 100 lbs. from floor level up to a height of 7 ft., every 30 to 60 seconds
• Ability to perform basic math functions (adding, subtracting, multiplying, etc.) with use of calculator
