Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated’s Zatarain’s facility in Gretna, Louisiana is hiring a 2nd Shift Line Technician to support production goals. You will operate line equipment, perform changeovers, monitor quality, and help minimize waste while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires 1–2 years in food manufacturing with leadership experience, the ability to read and perform basic math, and physical capability for lifting. Overtime/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in food manufacturing with leadership and equipment operation.
• Ability to read, write and perform simple math calculations.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25–50 pounds regularly.
• Wamiliarity with safety and GMP guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Set up line, handle product changeovers and minor repairs on line equipment.
• Operate processing, filling and packaging line equipment.
• Perform quality inspections of products and packs (weights, seals, labels, dates).
• Monitor line activity to meet production needs and minimize downtime.
• Process inventory transactions using SAP and complete paperwork.
• Perform allergen cleanup and daily housekeeping duties.
• Assist in training employees on line operation and company processes.
