Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is seeking a Specialist, Plumber in Cambridge, MA to maintain essential water and steam systems on a 2nd shift. You will lead preventative maintenance, troubleshoot complex equipment, and coordinate with site stakeholders to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on plumbing/pipefitting, strong problem-solving skills, and a valid driver's license. This role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits as part of a global facilities management

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of trades schooling, technical training, or vocational program in plumbing/pipefitting.
• 3+ years of hands-on plumbing, pipefitting, or building mechanical systems maintenance experience.
• Experience with water treatment systems, steam systems, HVAC components, and building infrastructure.
• Physical ability to frequently lift 50+ pounds and perform demanding movements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to report in writing and talk with diverse audiences.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation, repair, preventative maintenance, and installation of piping, valves, and plumbing systems for steam and water infrastructure.
• Monitor heating/cooling valves, boilers, pumps, piping, and filtration equipment to ensure continuous operation.
• Diagnose equipment issues via troubleshooting and system analysis to restore function with minimal downtime.
• Coordinate with client representatives and work orders to schedule maintenance within operational windows.
• Prioritize preventive maintenance tasks and manage corrective work orders and emergencies.
• Review logs and performance data to identify issues and report problems to stakeholders.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as needed.
