Job summary

J&T Business Consulting is seeking an SMT Operator I for the 2nd shift in Seymour, CT. The role operates and monitors automated SMT equipment, including solder paste printers, SPI, pick-and-place machines, and reflow ovens, in a fast-paced EMS environment.

You will load, run, and troubleshoot production jobs, work with the Group Leader and Setup Technician, and ensure safety, quality, and workmanship standards throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronic assembly or SMT operation is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; IPC-A-610 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor SMT equipment (printers, SPI, pick-and-place, reflow) per SOPs.
• Load, run, and monitor PCBA production jobs with supervision.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and line housekeeping tasks.
• Coordinate with leads and inspectors to maintain balanced board flow.
