Job summary

J&T is seeking an SMT Operator I for the 2nd shift in Seymour, CT. You will operate and monitor SMT assembly equipment, including screen printers, SPI, pick-and-place systems, and reflow ovens, ensuring safety and quality in a fast-paced EMS environment.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, loading PCBs, tracking WIP with line management systems, and assisting training of new operators while maintaining accurate data logs and following SDS/ESD protocols.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of related electronic assembly or SMT machine operation experience (1+ years preferred).
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• IPC-A-610 Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, run, and tear down solder paste screen printers; load stencils and verify paste alignment.
• Load, inspect, and unload PCBA boards across screen printers, SPI platforms, pick-and-place systems, and reflow ovens.
• Recall and confirm appropriate reflow oven profiles for part numbers; perform daily operator PM and cleaning.
