Job summary

J&T is seeking a 2nd Shift AOI Operator to inspect PCBAs on a high-reliability SMT line in Seymour, CT. You will load inspection programs, monitor AOI equipment, and document defects to support first-pass yield.

The role requires a high school diploma, IPC-A-610 certification, and familiarity with MIS platforms like Aegis. You will work with SMT operators and quality teams to maintain production flow and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 0–3 years in electronics assembly, SMT, or optical inspection.
• IPC-A-610 certification required (or able to obtain on hire).
• Component identification training required.
• Basic computer literacy and MIS familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor AOI systems per SOPs.
• Load inspection programs and recipes for part numbers/revisions.
• Log defects and dispositions into MIS (Aegis).
• Troubleshoot minor machine feed issues and escalate defects.
• Maintain 5S workstation and adhere to ESD safety standards.
• Collaborate with SMT operators and quality teams to ensure flow.
