Job summary

J&T Business Consulting is seeking an SMT Operator I for the 2nd shift in Seymour, CT. You will operate and monitor automated SMT equipment, including screen printers, SPI, pick-and-place, and reflow ovens, ensuring safety and quality in a fast-paced EMS environment.

Requirements include 0–3 years in electronic assembly, a high school diploma or GED, IPC-A-610 preferred, and training in component identification.

Qualifications

• 0 to 3 years of SMT/electronic assembly experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Component Identification training is required.
• IPC-A-610 Certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with Shop Floor Tracking Systems (Aegis MIS) is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Set up, run, and tear down solder paste screen printers.
• Load, inspect, and unload PCBA on printers, SPI, and pick-and-place lines.
• Coordinate with line leads, material handlers, and quality inspectors to maintain balanced board flow.
• Perform daily operator-level preventive maintenance and cleaning on line equipment.
• Assist in training incoming operators on basic board setup and teardown routines.
