Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Elkridge, MD is seeking a 2nd shift Quality Assurance Lead to join our team at the Troy Hill facility, with the ability to work across the Elkridge and Halethorpe sites.

This role performs in-process inspections of electromechanical LRUs and systems, interfaces with manufacturing and engineering, and conducts ISO audits to support site compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 6 years and a High School diploma or equivalent and related experience.
• Minimum of 2 years Inspection experience.
• SAP experience.
• Quality inspection and electromechanical assembly experience.
• Drawing review experience (ISE/CADSTAR).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Confidential clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process, sampling, First Article Inspections, and final inspection on a variety of complete electromechanical LRUs and systems.
• Visually inspect for appropriate electrical assembly specifications and standards.
• Perform inspections using tooling and check lists to complete inspection of sub-assemblies and systems.
• Interface with manufacturing operations and engineering personnel to improve processes and documentation issues.
• Support visual and dimensional checks for piece/part conditions that contribute to, or cause, defects for RCCA's.
• Review metrics, procedures, and techniques used to inspect materials, parts, units, and/or systems at inspection to facilitate continuous improvement.
• Perform ISO Audits as required by audit coordinator for site compliance efforts.
• Submit contract end item product as required per PrOP & QAD.
• Interface with customer and government (DCMA) for required in-process inspections through final inspection as well as contract end item submittals and final pack and shipping process.
• Perform as a Quality Process Control Aide in an AS-9100 process-oriented organization.
