Job summary

Adient plc in Normal, IL is seeking a Shipping Clerk to coordinate daily route manifests, verify shipping windows, and maintain trailer and dock inventories. The role supports production lines and requires accurate paperwork and record-keeping.

The position is 2nd shift (3:30pm-12am) with benefits including health insurance, 401k, and paid time off. Automotive manufacturing experience and proficiency in Excel are assets.

Qualifications

1-2 years Shipping/Receiving Clerk, Inventory Coordination, or similar field.
Experience in Manufacturing/Distribution – Automotive a big plus.
Experienced with Microsoft Applications including Excel.
ERP Knowledge is a plus - Trainable.

Responsibilities

Manage and Coordinate Daily Route Manifest Log.
Verify Receiving and Shipping Windows are met – communicate concerns to supervisor.
Update Hot Parts Board when expedited parts arrive.
Manage Dock and Yard Inventory Trailer movements to support production.
Manage Trailer Tracking Sheet and paperwork for trailers in yard.
Maintain records of packing slips and returnable containers.
Maintain system for tracking Truckload Utilization (TUMS).
Work with minimum supervision and maintain BOS requirements for shipping and transportation.
