Job summary

Perdue Farms is seeking a Shipping Clerk for the 2nd shift in Georgetown, DE. You will support transportation and customer fulfillment operations, coordinate appointment scheduling, manage late coding, and deliver strong customer service to keep daily logistics running smoothly.

The role requires 2–3 years in transportation, knowledge of DOT regulations, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. You will work closely with internal teams and customers in a fast-paced office environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in transportation.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong systems aptitude and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with an emphasis on Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of Transportation Operations and Supply Chain Management.

Responsibilities

• Stand in for team members in any appointment scheduling or late-coding capacity.
• Support and assist the Transportation Logistics Supervisor in producing scheduling efficiencies.
• Support the reduction of appointment misses and issues.
• Assist the Perdue appointment team with appointment scheduling, late coding, and customer service.
• Schedule appointments in any capacity as directed by management.
• Manage appointment issues and identify trends and areas of opportunity.
• Produce various late-code-related reports as needed.
• Support the customer service team in any capacity as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
