Cardinal Staffing Services is currently hiring an experienced Shipping Clerk for a client in Napoleon, Ohio. The role focuses on managing inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate records, and communicating with vendors and carriers to ensure timely deliveries.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and prior shipping/logistics experience, with proficiency in shipping software and basic MS Office. 2nd shift hours are 3PM–11PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and documentation for inbound/outbound shipments.
• Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickup and delivery, ensuring timeliness.
• Maintain records of shipments with tracking numbers, dates, and destinations.
• Communicate shipment updates to vendors, carriers, and internal teams.
• Collaborate with warehouse to load/unload shipments smoothly.
• Inspect shipments for damages and coordinate resolutions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.

Cardinal Staffing Services, is immediately hiring for an experienced Shipping Clerk for a client in Napoleon, OH. The Shipping Clerk is responsible for managing both incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of goods. This position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail to coordinate shipments, communicate with vendors and carriers, and maintain proper documentation. The Shipping Clerk plays a vital role in supporting the smooth operations of the shipping department.

Available shifts include:

2nd shift 3PM to 11PM Mon to Fri, overtime as needed

Responsibilities of the Shipping Clerk:

• Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and documentation requirements for both inbound and outbound shipments
• Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickup and delivery of outgoing shipments, ensuring timely and efficient transportation
• Maintain accurate records of inbound and outbound shipments, including tracking numbers, dates, and destinations
• Communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to provide updates on shipment status and resolve any delivery issues or delays
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure smooth loading and unloading of shipments
• Inspect and report any damages or discrepancies in shipments, coordinating with carriers and internal teams for resolution
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior management, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the warehouse operations.

Preferred Qualifications of the Shipping Clerk:

• High school diploma or equivalent (some employers may require additional education or relevant certification).
• Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is preferred, particularly in managing both inbound and outbound shipments.
• Familiarity with shipping procedures, regulations, and documentation is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in packaging, labeling, and paperwork.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple shipments and deadlines.
• Proficient in using shipping software and systems, as well as basic computer skills (MS Office, email, etc.).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with vendors, carriers, and internal teams.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing shipping requirements and technologies.
