Job summary

Russell Tobin is seeking a 2nd shift Sheet Metal Operator in Seattle, WA to operate laser cutters, press brakes, PEM installation, and other fabrication equipment. You will produce high-quality sheet metal components per drawings and CNC programs while maintaining equipment and safety and meeting production schedules.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years of sheet metal fabrication experience, ability to read drawings, and proficiency with measuring tools.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
1+ years of sheet metal fabrication experience or equivalent technical training.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
Proficiency with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures).
Strong attention to detail and precision fabrication capabilities.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with mechanical equipment.
Basic computer skills for machine operation.

Responsibilities

Operate sheet metal fabrication equipment including laser cutters, waterjet cutters, plasma cutters, press brakes, PEM, and shears.
Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
Set up machines according to CNC programs and work instructions.
Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to maintain quality.
Perform tool changes and basic machine setup tasks.
Verify first piece and in-process dimensions using measuring tools.
Maintain production logs and equipment run time records.
