Job summary

PACCAR is hiring an Advanced Sheet Metal Worker for the Renton facility. The role focuses on sheet metal fabrication, operating shear, punch press, brake press, and CNC controls, with a requirement for strong reading of drawings and routings.

The position emphasizes teamwork, safety, and quality, with normal 2nd shift hours. Proficiency in MS Outlook/Word/Excel is preferred, and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• PC experience with MS Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate fabrication machinery (shear, punch press, brake press, CNC controls, etc.).
• Understand fabrication processes and material characteristics for sheet metal.
• Fabricate sheet metal parts from sketches and part drawings; read blueprints and routings.
• Work with minimal supervision to meet daily production, safety and quality targets.
• Provide layout/programming support and assist in teaching others in sheet metal craft.
• Complete Kenworth Standards & Routing training and promote cross-group communication.
• Support plant safety and housekeeping policies and lead by example.
