Job summary

GA Telesis is seeking a 2nd Shift Composite Technician to join the MRO Composite team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This full-time role focuses on aircraft composite repairs, reporting to the Director of Production. Candidates should bring knowledge to meet FAA and customer maintenance manuals quality standards.

Responsibilities include repairs and fabrication of aircraft parts, adherence to budgeted hours, and safe handling of heat units and sealants. U.S.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in aviation component repairs.
• High school diploma required; technical or trade school certifications preferred.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Must be able to read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, disassembly, and repair of flight controls, structures, stabilizers, nacelles, exhaust, and other aircraft parts.
• Repair, modify, replace, or overhaul aircraft parts to ensure airworthiness.
• Perform work within estimated or budgeted hours.
• Know the proper use of heat control units.
• Know various types of aircraft sealant and appropriate method application for sealant as well as aircraft fasteners and basic methods of installation and suitable substitutions.
• Fabricate parts as required and have knowledge of metal and alloys and where substitutes may be used.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
