Job summary

DecoPac, Inc. is hiring for a Full Time Baser on the 2nd shift in Fife, WA. The role deposits base mixes through a stencil and blocking mesh to create designs on backing substrates, while operating printing tools and screen-printing machinery.

You will stage materials, operate the screen-printing machine, adjust speed and pressure, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure correct alignment. Candidates must have good visual acuity, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and work as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate good visual acuity to distinguish details and colors.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds; physical stamina required.
• Excellent organization to collect and assemble ingredients and follow production lists.
• Clear verbal communication to follow instructions on lists, sheets, and labels.
• Ability to read and follow mixing sheets and color cards.

Responsibilities

• Create base shapes according to job schedules and substrates.
• Stage raw materials and tools as specified on work orders.
• Operate screen-printing machine to print base shapes onto backing substrate.
• Mount screen-printing frames in the specified sequence on the machine.
• Set machine speed and adjust pressure of squeegees for design quality.
• Run, adjust and troubleshoot production equipment and machinery.
• Check equipment for proper setup, alignment and base viscosity.
• Inspect printed products for correct alignment.
• Complete work orders to capture inventory and lot numbers.
• Break down machine and clean screens for proper storage.
