Gilford School District is accepting applications for a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our 2nd-shift facilities team. This position keeps school buildings clean, safe, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors, with responsibilities including classroom, hallway, restroom, and common area care.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred.
• Experience with floor care equipment is helpful.
• Reliable, able to work independently, and comfortable following safety guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Clean and maintain classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and common areas including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal.
• Sanitize restrooms and high-touch surfaces; restock soap and paper products.
• Perform floor care such as buffing, stripping, and waxing as needed.
• Monitor custodial supplies and notify supervisor when items need reordering.
• Assist with minor building maintenance such as touch-up painting and basic equipment checks.
• Set up or clean up spaces for school events, meetings, or activities.
• Respond to spills or urgent cleaning needs during the shift.
• Follow all safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly.
