Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Custodial - 2nd Shift at Washington Street Elementary for the 2026-27 school year. The position runs Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., totaling 40 hours weekly.

Responsibilities include daily classroom cleaning, restroom sanitation, hallway maintenance, trash removal, and securing doors and windows. A high school diploma or GED is required; a background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Background check/fingerprints upon hire.
• Experience with cleaning and custodial preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily classroom cleaning, including emptying trash, sweeping/vacuuming, spot mopping and locking of doors and windows.
• Daily restroom cleaning, including disinfecting all fixtures, emptying trash, refilling soap and paper products, and removing graffiti and litter.
• Daily hallway cleaning, including picking up trash, emptying trash, sweeping/vacuuming hallway and entry rugs, and spot mopping hard floors.
