Mission

As a Saw Operator, you are responsible for providing machining areas with workable material and performing daily inventory transactions.

• Based on a route sheet process that specifies the drawing of the part and the operations to be performed, enters the equipment settings and calls up the machining program.
• Arranges the part, initiates, then supervises the production operation, ensuring that it runs smoothly and in accordance with technical requirements. Ensures the flow and/or straightens parts in line with operational procedures and recommendations regarding safety and the environment.
• During production, uses suitable measuring instruments to conduct self-checks and/or cross-checks based on instruction sheets. Signal any quality issues.
• Ensures the required traceability (product/process) and reports on his/her work.
• Takes part in improvement groups, as well as the induction and training of colleagues in equipment use.
• Carries out first-level maintenance on equipment and keeps his/her workspace clean and tidy.
• Detects and reports unsafe situations.
• Moving and manipulating large graphite blocks with a fork truck.
• Operating band saws and other medium equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ability to work well within a team.
• Promote, demonstrate, and emphasize safety.
• Visually inspect parts and complete inspection documentation.
• Conducts oneself as a model Mersen employee and treats employees with courtesy and respect.
