Cobb is hiring for a 2nd shift hatchery position at the Tennessee Hatchery in Lafayette, TN. Responsibilities include fogging, cleaning, and processing tasks in a biosecure environment, with strict safety guidelines.

Starting pay is $17.00 per hour with differential for evenings, nights and weekends; full-time benefits begin on day one, including health, dental, vision, 401(k), and life insurance. Schedule is Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday, 3:00pm to 1:00am.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
• Rehire criteria: minimum waiting period of 180 days and no more than 3 times previously worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.
• Biosecurity and safety guidelines must be followed; willingness to sign and comply.

Responsibilities

• Fog hatcher halls and setter halls 1, 2, 3, embrex room, clean box room, pull room and processing room; other duties may be assigned.
• Clean/sanitize box room and chick room, clean chick counter; assist with laundry and chick handling.
• Go through customer chicks; perform setter and turning arm checks.
• Follow safety policies, use PPE, and adhere to biosecurity requirements.
