Job summary

Suffolk is seeking a Safety Specialist to enforce Corporate Safety and Health policies across projects. You will manage on-site safety procedures, review subcontractor safety programs, and conduct OSHA trainings, with a focus on risk reduction and regulatory compliance.

The role requires experience with construction safety, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate with field operations and risk management. 2nd shift: 4:00pm–2:00am, on-site work across project sites.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of construction health and safety experience with knowledge of federal/state regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction or Safety preferred but not required.
• Qualified OSHA Construction Industry Outreach Trainer.
• Willingness to achieve CHST within two years.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections and record safety conditions using Predictive Solutions.
• Coordinate subcontractor Pre-Construction Safety Planning Meetings.
• Investigate accidents and document incident reports per Suffolk standards.
• Provide OSHA 10/30, HAZWOPER training and other safety topics.
• Support risk management with regional insights and documentation review.
